Cross Lane Fisheries - Wakefield

Have used this chippy for years, mainly for calling in for quick lunch as its quick, good quality and excellent value. A typical, proper, unpretentious, no glamorous lights and fancy seating.........typical, good value for money English chippy. Well done guys.

This chippy has not long been taken over by a really nice chap, sean I think and he is making a massive effort to do things right. The place is clean with very pleasant staff. The chips are delicious cooked just like i like them and the battered fish is fresh and really great value for money. We popped in as a family and used the seating area which was spotless. Keep up the good work and standards guys your on to a winner.

Just your average local chippy but very good value for money. Ideal for calling in for lunch and very popular with schoolkids for a cheap lunch. Limited parking though

The fish is very good and you get lots of chips. The peas and curry is very good and the price is ok. They have seats outside for you to eat at. They also sell lots of other food too and drinks.

They serve nice fish and chips but the staff are very miserable. You always feel as though you are not very welcome which is a shame.
