Kountry Kupboard - Walhalla

We were visiting from out of town and had high hopes for a cozy diner with homemade food. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. The staff was friendly and the coffee was decent, but the food fell short. I ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans tasted canned, the mashed potatoes were among the worst I've ever had, and the country fried steak reminded me of something from the frozen section of the grocery store. My wife got the same dish but swapped the green beans for mac and cheese, and even that was less than impressive. We were really looking forward to some cornbread, but it tasted stale and like it came from a mix. Overall, there was nothing homemade about our meal.

We visit Kountry Kupboard almost every Sunday after church. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful.
