Walkhampton Inn

A very welcoming and friendly local pub! The food is excellent, the beer is great, and the staff are fantastic. Plus, there's a delightful dog (yes, I'm talking about her, Dorris).

We felt very welcomed and enjoyed beautiful rooms that were perfect for sharing with my son. We arrived just before the kitchen closed, and we had a fantastic dinner. The breakfast the next morning was incredibly fresh and served to order at a time that suited us, which we really appreciated. However, there was no milk in the room for tea and coffee, and the window didn’t close properly because the catch was broken. On the positive side, the private bathroom was very innovative, and the shower was fantastic.

He decided to come here for the meatcakes, and we were not disappointed. That was all my father-in-law wanted during his visit to the country, and this pub certainly delivered. They even have a very sweet older Becherhund. We arrived here after a hike in Dartmoor National Park. Just a heads-up: like most pubs, their kitchen closes at 3 PM and reopens later for dinner.

A friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we went through the door. eating was very good and efficient. I had had haddock, chips and drowned, crispy teig and delicious chips. good the ride worth to find this little gem!
