The meal was okay. I've never ate a taco fried in the shape of a star. The sopapillas we ordered were tasteless. I could compare it to eating cardboard with honey dripped on it. I stopped by for an early dinner and unfortunately found the experience lacking. The chips were stale, and both the salsa and queso were quite bland. I ordered the deluxe platter, which included a tamale, cheese enchilada, queso puff, beef taco, rice, and beans. It tasted like typical Tex-Mex, but not in a good way. The rice seemed like it had been leftover from lunch, as it contained hard, crunchy bits. Additionally, the taco and puff shared the same shell, making it difficult to eat the taco. The guacamole was also off-putting, and I expected the queso puffs to have a thinner shell. On a positive note, the service was good, but the food needs to match that quality. I suspect the high rating this place has is due to its small-town location.

This restaurant lives up to expectations. I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between $50 and $100. The food was excellent, earning a 5 out of 5, as was the service, which also received a 5. The atmosphere was equally impressive, rated a 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the Tortilla Soup, Taco Salad, and Chips and Salsa.
