P.f. Chang's - Walnut Creek

My experience at this restaurant on a Friday night at 8:45 was less than satisfactory. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait to be seated and noticed food on the floor throughout the restaurant, indicating a lack of cleanliness. After waiting over 20 minutes for drinks, we finally had to ask a busgirl for a server, who eventually took our order. The food was not as good as I had experienced at other PF Chang's locations, with one dish being overly salty. Although the drinks were good, the service was poor. Our server only came to our table to take our order, bring our drinks, deliver our food, and present the check. Despite thanking the servers as we left, no one acknowledged us. Overall, the lack of service and attention to detail left me very disappointed.

The food at this restaurant is usually good, but the service can be inconsistent. On a couple of occasions, we ordered the pan-fried dumplings and the server unexpectedly poured the dipping sauce all over them without asking. When I questioned why they did this, the server mentioned it was their policy. It was confusing and frustrating, as we had never experienced this before. On another visit to a different location, they did not pour the sauce on the dumplings. However, when we returned to the original location, a server once again attempted to pour the sauce on the dumplings without asking. Despite my request for them not to do so, they went ahead and did it anyway. This was disappointing as I prefer to dip the dumplings in the sauce, rather than having it poured on top. It would be better if they asked customers before making such changes to their dish.

I ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Dynamite Shrimp, and Chicken Lo Mein (double pan fried) with the meat cooked well. All of the dishes were fantastic and lived up to PF Chang's high standards. Overall, it was a great experience as usual.

The dish I selected was awful. Do not get the short rib fried rice. Dry meat, excessive sauce, bad flavor, 3 edamame pieces and 1 slice of mushroom. Server was professional and friendly. She noticed I didn?t eat and would have sent it back for me if Ihad asked. The new inflation adjusted menu has price increases of 2-4$ for each item. I don?t think the quality level andfreshness matches the new prices.

Sat at the bar and our appetizer and entrees arrived before our drinks even came. A sangria and a beer. Come on now. We didn?t even get water after asking a few times. Jasmine was sweet but had no help whatsoever. They weren?t even that busy. Tried toorder wine when the entrees finally arrived and still opening a bottle of wine seems to take a village. Nothing comped. Nocustomer service and as a rewards member for years, I was incredibly disappointed and will not be back to this location. Wastedof time and money. Wow :
