The Crown Pub And Grill - Walsall

I came for Sunday lunch and I have to say the service was good but the Sunday Roast was very poor ....the meat was obviously bought in in trays the yorkshires were Bessie's the meat was so tough I couldn't chew it ....but the pudding was lovely .

Stumbled across this place today. Wasn't sure what to expect. Greeted by friendly bar man. Decor really nice and clean. We chose the special offer of x2 10z Rump steak meals for £15. Brought to our table by the chef after a short wait. Honestly blown away. We're quite fussy with our steaks and these were perfect medium, juicy,tasty steaks! Big portions too! I had mash which was homemade and tasty. My other half had Chips. Lovely flavour with some skin on. Couldn't fault a thing about the food and service. Only negative criticism is I love my coffee and would prefer a machine Cappuccino to instant coffee and would be happy to pay more. Definitely coming back. Best value for money! I'm going to for a lie down, feeling satisfied and stuffed! :

Love this place, very regular customers! Food is lovely, homely food you would do for yourself or family. Chef is great with adapting the orders and is happy to take feedback after the meal. All bar staff are warm, genuine and friendly creating a warm and comforting environment for all the family to enjoy.

In June 2021, my family and friends visited The Crown pub in Walsall. We enjoyed the ambience and found the staff, particularly Sandra, to be very kind, courteous, and helpful. The food was decent overall. We liked the Nashville nachos, toasted cheese, and crispy sweet chili beef. However, some of the other dishes we ordered lacked flavor. The salmon and torpedo prawns were bland, even after adding sauce. We felt that mashed potatoes would be a better accompaniment than rice. The steak combo and scampi were also lacking in flavor, with the scampi being too rubbery. Despite these shortcomings, we plan to visit the pub again in the future. We visit this restaurant nearly every Sunday for their family carvery. The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant, and parking is never an issue. We highly recommend it for Sunday lunches.
