Thainese - Waltham Forest

We decided to get food to go from the restaurant's menu. Our first experience was enjoyable, but this time was extremely disappointing. The crispy wontons were cold, chewy, and lacked sauce. The prawn dish had unshelled prawns and was also cold. The sea bass was chewy, the fish didn't taste fresh, and it was served cold. Overall, the meal was terrible.

This restaurant has its ups and downs, and it's better to dine in. The Thai fish cakes tasted pre-made and a bit strange - avoid ordering them. The lamb chops were quite rare. The shredded chicken pancakes were decent, but there was not enough salad. Overall, the price was disappointing for the quality of the food. Improvement is necessary.

The restaurant offers delicious, authentic Malaysian and traditional Chinese dishes. I have attached their latest menu to this review. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. I suggest sitting at the back of the restaurant. We tried the sweet and sour chicken and prawn chow mein, both of which were excellent. Overall, I would give it a 10 out of 10. The prices are very reasonable.

Great food at very reasonable prices. They also met our odd requirements for some of our group and everything was really nice

Have ordered home delivery from Thainese for several years. Recently, there's been a definite decrease in quality. Yesterday ordered Mee Goreng and Beef Red Curry Both were really underwhelming slop in fact. Consistency not good, little flavour. This is a shame, as the food used to be pretty good. My last order from here.
