The Castle E17 - Waltham Forest

We had American friends visiting so there were 7 adults and 2 children! Our waiter was superb and extremely helpful ! The food was absolutely delicious and when I looked around the table after our meal ,every plate was clean !!!! Fantastic pub and will not hesitate to visit again! Excellent value for money too! Haven’t had such a yummy roast in such a long time and this was by far the best so far in the area! Well priced, huge and delicious! Staff very lovely and great service. Will definitely be back!

This was our first visit to this traditional pub and we had a very good meal. Inside the atmosphere was pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful. We were a party of four adults and one child and we all ordered different meals, jerk chicken, steak and ale pie, lentil and quinoa salad etc., all were good, well cooked and presented. Drink prices were reasonable, bottle of decent red £25.00, food prices also we thought very acceptable. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Chilly Sunday afternoon, 4 of us headed done to The Castle for a roast. Quick service straight away, drink on table in under 5 minutes. Spot on. All 4 ordered roast: chicken, 2 pork and 1 beef. Slightly smaller portion than I was expecting, and no gravy on the side, just what you were given which was a little too thin for my liking, but tasted ok. We all enjoyed the food and the drinks and deserts came around and they were good too, no complaints really. I had the cheese for desert and they gave me tons of crackers and loads of cheese an excellent portion of cheese and great value. I like this place a lot think it could do with some minor improvements but strong Sunday roast.
