Taqueria La Mexicana - Walworth

I absolutely love this place! Between the grocery store and the restaurant, they have nearly everything anyone could desire. We often order a large taco and burrito buffet, including beans, chicken, veggies, tortillas, and more. They consistently do an excellent job. Everything looks and tastes fresh, and it’s a huge hit with our family, which includes everyone from toddlers to octogenarians. My only complaint is that the decor could use a bit of an update, but that’s a minor issue considering how delicious the food is.

Authentic experience, right down to the Coca Cola. The service is fantastic and friendly, all within a modest setting that connects to a Latino grocery store. I'll definitely keep coming back for the honest and reasonably priced delicious food.

The salsa and chips here are really tasty, and the prices are reasonable. The servers have always been friendly, which adds to the experience. The food is decent overall; however, the skirt steak tends to be a bit tough, resembling beef jerky, though I actually enjoy beef jerky. I steer clear of the shrimp, as they seem to use precooked, frozen shrimp rather than fresh, which I find disappointing. The carnitas with fried pork are quite salty and overcooked. I've noticed that often the tables and menus are dirty and haven't been cleaned, though I suspect it's because there’s only one server handling multiple tasks. On the plus side, the food is satisfying and definitely cures my craving for Mexican cuisine.

The food was outstanding! Everyone was very friendly, and the service was excellent! We would definitely return on our next vacation.
