If you're looking for the best fish and chips in town, make sure to stop by the Magpie Stump Hotel for lunch or dinner. The portion sizes are enormous, and the staff are incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. I give it a solid 10/10! Cheers!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. The food is consistently excellent, day in and day out! Usually, kids' meals are not that impressive at most restaurants, but here they're as tasty as the main dishes, and the portions are substantial enough to satisfy even an adult. The pork cutlet is a must-try, but I've sampled many dishes, and they're all top-notch. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality and portion sizes—I'd say it's a great value for what you get. Don't skip this place; you definitely won't regret it!

Country pubs are becoming increasingly rare, so I really loved this place. The food was fantastic as well!

Ordered the Bangers n Mash, served quickly and was sensational. Next time travelling back on the Hume, this will be a stop for a feed

To be fair this place has had some bad press over the years and deservedly so at times. That is no longer the case. I had lunch there followed by an evening meal at the bistro two days later. The place was busy, despite that the food came out in a very reasonable time, generous helpings and really well cooked and presented. Although understaffed due to some employees waiting to be double vaxxed, those that were on duty were polite, friendly and went out of their way for their customers. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
