This Costa is lovely. It is spacious and bright. The coffee and pastries are always good, but this specific location is especially nice with plenty of comfortable seating in armchairs and couches.
This is my favorite Costa location. The staff is very friendly and attentive, with a good selection of items. The restaurant is very nice and clean, making it a great place to meet up with friends.
I visited this café for the 1st time on May 5th 2014, while on a long leisurely walk from Clapham Junction SW11 to Shiv Darshan (Indian Savouries Shop) in Tooting. I decided to stop and have a coffee a cake. I enjoyed that so much, that on my way home I stopped off and had my lunch there.
I am Italian and I live in Turin, known for its excellent coffee. It is hard to come across a bad cup of coffee in this city. I assumed that Costa Coffee was Italian, but after trying their coffee, I have my doubts. The quality was disappointing, tasting like a cheap supermarket brand of instant coffee. It was the most disgusting cup of coffee I have ever had - I ordered a small but received a large cup the size of a soup bowl. The hot milk had a sour layer on top of the instant-like coffee. After two sips, I couldn't stomach any more and left feeling unwell.
