Prestige Cafe - Wandsworth

Dreadful eating, they brought simple pancakes without the fruit, a full English without the juice or hot drink it said it came with and the avocado on toast was just terrible...warm brot instead of toast and brot that only fits for the baptisms. all ordered together and came apart for about 10 minutes, so that everyone ate essentially on our own. very disappointed.

Eating the food was terrible and very expensive person that served was very rude. it was totally misleading and keeping it was taking or leaving. never again.

For the brunch arrived and will not go back. ordered avocado on toast and received two slices of brown toast with the thinnest layer of avocado without seasonal at all. asked about chorizo on the side and it came with cut chorizo that had chopped and put on. the person who does this has no idea of eating. it is such a simple thing to come to the right, but I feel demolished, paid with 8.50, including a pre made smoothie. if they expect brunch not to disturb. such a scandal because it is such a great situation. it just doesn't fit to the brunch where they can find in the neighboring.

Coffee nice, but service a bit haphazard maybe inexperienced staff? and really don't eat well. bacon baguette literally dry baguette with speck inside, not even any butter or salad inside. browning leaves and cut olive from a glass. had no cake. but they looked good.

This review comes after discussions with several local residents and workers who have used Prestige in the past few months and who are in agreement with the opinions expressed here. The review is not intended as a negative attack but as a driver for positive...change. There is a huge demand for a local eatery that can provide an imaginative menu with a variety of wholesome dishes and snacks for breakfast and lunch. There is only one realistic competitor in the area which is always crowded, often with queues outside, in contrast to Prestige which never has queues and almost always has several empty tables. A change of menu from the current outdated offerings to an up-to-date imaginative range of well cooked dishes would attract a large and grateful clientele. My wife and I regularly dine out at lunch with friends but sadly Prestige is not our go-to venue. The restaurant is in a prime location with beautiful views over Wandsworth Common and has the potential for customers queuing to get in. Please, Mr Owner, seize the opportunity.
