I have had dinner a few times at the scratch bar- either on evenings I have seen a show at The Battersea Arts Centre or on my way home for work. Comfortable and casual atmosphere, many communal tables. The bar has a good evening menu of: selection platters (and you are able to mix match to some extent to make it vegetarian). They also offer soup of the day.
I visited this restaurant for coffee and a meeting during a quiet time in the late morning. There were mothers with their young children playing nearby, which was not disruptive. As lunchtime approached, more people arrived and seemed to be enjoying their meals from a diverse menu. Unfortunately, I did not have time to fully explore all the offerings at the Arts Centre, but I did admire the beautiful main staircase in the former Battersea Town Hall. I look forward to returning another day to experience more.
Went here a few nights ago with friends. It's one of the nearest bars to my house and thankfully so! It's part of the recently fire damaged Battersea Arts Centre, which is slowly rising from the ashes again I look forward to another Battersea Beer Festival there soon! It's a bar in 2 parts, with the main seating area separate from the bar serving part. The atmosphere, although ok, could be improved with better lighting, than the current industrial chic attempt. The bar staff are very friendly and there is a surprisingly good selection of ales on offer. The pricing is accurate and so overall I have no hesitation in recommending this place.
This pub restaurant is a part of Battersea Arts Centre and providing foods and drinks. Inside the pub, there are senses of history and arts existing. Staff there are easy going and customers are seen often enjoying their drinks while chatting around. It is also child friendly place.
