The Candlemaker - Wandsworth

Battersea used to be home to Price's Candle Factory, the largest candle manufacturer in the world. While the factory is now located in Liverpool and has closed down, there are still many impressive buildings in the area that reflect its history as a major manufacturer in Britain. The Candlemaker, a renovated pub from the 1930s formerly known as Bellevue, serves up delicious meals that are reminiscent of home cooking, but without any of the hassle.

We recently visited The Candle Maker and it is a fantastic addition to the charming Rope Road. The restaurant serves large portions of British cuisine, sourced from British farmers. The cozy pub atmosphere makes it a perfect winter setting, but the beer garden also offers a sunny spot to enjoy. The staff is incredibly friendly and the drink selection is excellent. A top choice for dining in Battersea.

This cozy pub is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon or evening with friends. Grab one of the big tables, take advantage of the board games available, and settle in for the long haul. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help you create any unique drink combinations you can think of. Currently, they are offering the delicious Death by Burrito, which we couldn't resist trying. The fish burgers and chips were excellent, and the hot dogs made us seriously crave more. Unfortunately, we were not as impressed with the burritos.

Battersea high the road now has a brand new pub that really brightens this rustless road. at the weekend, its home to a half-food market, where craftsmen will be discovered on something they hope they will be discovered by the masses. Unfortunately, here the shop is not really inside. I run past the stands, and traders lean over their pretty little food trucks with no more than a few fly smile their food in the meantime are the fruit and vegetables heaving last time I was there a woman for the addition of two oranges to a £ 1 best in front of a bowl (cheeky). maybe a small pr and this tiny high street could be a great...read more

This place has an amazing atmosphere, the design is just right. It's rarely full due to the fact that it is actually quite hidden. The only bad aspect is rather poor alcohol range.
