Wok Express - Wandsworth

Feeling peckish in Putney and decided Chinese for lunch this is a small friendly restaurant with a good choice of tasty food at a reasonable price the WonTun soup was excellent and the BBQ pork went down well all in all a tasty lunch that did not break the bank.

Popped in for a snack. It’s small. It seats about 20 but offers takeaway also. Nice wallpaper music playing in the background. I imagine they operate more of a takeaway service as it was quiet inside and service doesn’t seem to be on the agenda. I wouldn’t classify this place as a destination restaurant. I also think, given my experience, this places needs to buzz or else it can be a bit bland. The food was fine. Nothing spectacular but for what it is and what they charge, it’s a Chinese takeaway with the added benefit of a seating option.

Ordered food for delivery; called at 1945 and was told food would take an hour to arrive. It arrived at close to 2200, over 2 hours later. Food was okay pretty average. No apology about the long wait. Won't go near the place again after that shoddy experience.

I have not dined at this restaurant, but I frequently order from their takeout menu either by walking in or delivery. The menu offers a wide variety of Thai and Chinese dishes, and the food is delicious. The restaurant appears to be busy with takeout orders, ensuring that you always receive hot and fresh food.
