Requests for changes to the menu offered were taken into account. Another 30 minutes passed before the starter. We got the main course after, no less, over 2 hours. Food was good and tasty. What was noticeable was that other tables received their food much earlier than we did. The crowning glory was the dessert. Without warning or explanation, we were served something with espresso and a melted scoop of vanilla ice cream in a wine glass. When we asked, we were told that a mishap had happened in the kitchen. Anything can and can happen, but why don 't you say it or ask if it 's OK? And if that weren 't bad enough, you try to justify yourself instead of simply apologizing. Ms. Pfister really seems to be incapable of criticism. Everyone and everything is to blame except you (restaurant). I 'm getting tired of hearing: We don 't have enough people, they can see what 's going on here, etc. Everything is done on the backs of the customers. The money should be paid and one should keep one 's mouth shut. Maybe the seating should be adjusted to the service. Subsequent note: Thank you for publishing my name. I will be just as public about sharing your statement.
Two visits in January twice we left the “Krüsch” very satisfied. We have rarely eaten food of such high quality on the island beautifully crafted dishes made from high quality products. The wild mushroom risotto with the fresh salmon is excellent, but the hearty roulade with the well seasoned red cabbage is just as good. Definitely an owner couple and a chef who enjoy good food. There is also a good selection of wines, not necessarily at a bargain price, but there are also damn good producers on the menu Very attentive, friendly service. Hopefully “Krüsch” will become a permanent fixture in the gastronomic offerings on Wangerooge That would be much appreciated by the innkeepers and guests who are interested in more than just “08/15 gastronomy”. Keep it up So we would definitely come back next time !
Definitely the best restaurant on Wangerooge! The food is first class: a small, fine menu and a changing 3 course menu wonderful wines make the enjoyment perfect. Vegetarians and vegans also get their money's worth, but meat and fish eaters will also be happy here. The atmosphere is modern, cozy and the service is top class: you feel warmly welcome, children and even dogs are also lovingly cared for. Service: Dine in
We were here on New Year's Day 2024. We have been coming to Wangerooge regularly for over 15 years and have never eaten so well on the island. The overall package was simply well rounded. We had a 3-course menu with soup, duck and creme brulee that was perfectly balanced in terms of taste and quantity. Plus the ambience and the very friendly service! It's just great what you did with the old compass. We wish you much success and that your courage to try something new for the island will be rewarded. In contrast to the Strandhotel G., our dog was also welcome here. Keep it up. GEZ. Little Red Riding Hood Kid-friendliness: I can't say anything too child-friendly, but our dog was welcomed very warmly
We had reserved a table for 6 people. After we ordered 2 bottles of water, they said that the offer was very limited. You can no longer offer everything on the menu. That's completely OK if it had been communicated in a timely and appropriate manner. We then decided to leave. We were then charged 18 EUR for 2 bottles of water, rounded up. When asked to reduce this given the circumstances, they insisted on this. Despite all my understanding of the difficult situation faced by restaurateurs, I consider this to be unprofessional and outrageous. This is how you scare away your guests. That's why there is a bad rating because of poor hospitality.
