This was always the Friday night takeaway stop when I was a kid. Good to see that it's still as good as I remember. On a sunny day, take your meal down to the river.

Stopped in while driving back home. had gurnard n chips. light batter and not greasy with nice agria chips. great service and accommodated our wee grandie special choice of food. will drop in again..yum

Came here just after Christmas with my best mate and family. Was on a family trip at Kaurawhero. <br/ <br/ The fish was fresh and tasted amazing, red cod was extremely soft and melted in my mouth. The snapper was more firm yet tender. <br/ <br/ Great place for fish and chips. Not a lot of options, everything else didn't look appetizing but what I ordered I was satisfied with. <br/ <br/ Sometimes when you walk into a restaurant u know what u should order and what u shouldn't. <br/ <br/ Environment: 3/5<br/ Food Quality: 4/5<br/ Food Quantity: 4/5<br/ Service: 3/5<br/ Price: $10pp<br/ <br/ Will be back!

Legendary fried fish, a must visit in NZ. We drove from Auckland CBD just to eat here, recommend everyone gets one snapper tartar sauce unless you're exceptionally hungry and 4 people can easily share one chips. Fantastic!

Food was fresh and tasty! Had a really good vegetarian burger and the garlic chips are to die for, good seating inside and fast service! Staff are lovely and helpful we will be back very soon even the little touches of fairy lights make the decor of a simple fish and chip shop look very smart also they have a lot of fake greenery inside that looks very elegant for a classic take aways very impressive
