Barrel33 - Warren

I recently saw a newspaper ad announcing that Barrel 33 is closing. I decided to stop by for Sunday brunch. The menu was small and the restaurant was moderately busy. The wait staff was efficient. I ordered Eggs Benedict and Toffels, which are small potato pancakes with toppings. The noise level in the restaurant was extremely high, making it difficult to have a conversation. The food arrived quickly, with the Eggs Benedict receiving good reviews, although the hash browns were unevenly cooked. The Toffels, one with egg and one with pulled pork, were bland. The pulled pork tasted like BBQ sauce and nothing else, while the egg was lacking in flavor. Overall, I will not miss Barrel 33. I would rate this restaurant a perfect 10 if I could! The Bourbon burger and BLT wrap were both excellent. The French fries were hot and crispy on the outside, just how I like them. I came on my birthday to eat here because I saw the pictures and saw the reviews they weren't even open and yet their sign said that they opened at 11:00 but no one was around we waited till 11:30 nobody showed up people walking by said this isn't uncommon however it was disappointing considering it was my birthday and this is where I wanted to go. Good news though red plum right next door is awesome that's where I spent my birthday dinner at. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
