Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse

Beautiful place, my first experience was excellent. Full stocked bar. For the aesthetics it's A one, service A one and I had salmon A one! Lemon drop French kiss!! Can't wait to go back!

Medium rare steak half rare, half well done. 4 out of 6 steaks from the group were wrong. Friendly staff, but not worth the money.

We made plans for our anniversary dinner on a Saturday evening. Making the reservations was very easy online. Everything was perfect. From the great waiter to all the amazing food. We were very pleased!! Parking: There is a parking garage right before the restaurant. The elevator drops you in an alley, but it is easy to get to the restaurant.

I hesitated to write this review because nowadays, when people (and specifically I) right a review and people see it, if people take the time to read it, then a quiet or little known gem can turn into a crowded cattle call which in turn makes the quality and exclusive nature of the restaurant go down. So sometimes, it pays to shut up! But in this case, because of the price point which would inhibit the average Joe from going and perhaps more importantly because I was just visiting and they did do an excellent job, I feel that a that a review is in order. Here's the skinny: Coming through the door, after informing them who we were and the occasion, we were treated like VIP's and the service was outstanding through and through. They were very accommodating, knowledgeable of the menu, specialty items and again, the service was top tier by any standard. There's a cool guy playing the guitar and singing in the middle of the bar at an elevated position. It's nice and very different. Not expected. We had two servers working in tandem which enhanced our experience. As for the food, it was delicious. Period. They prepared everyone's dishes EXACTLY to specification. I like a nice char on my steak and they prepared it perfectly. All of the temperatures were perfect. On this night, we all had the bourbon soaked dry aged rib eye. It was a limited edition offering and it didn't disappoint. The sorbet had the perfect balance of sour, sweet and smooth texture. It received rave reviews on the spot! I had the ice cream, a sampler of a couple of other desserts and enjoyed it as well. I'm an ice cream fanatic and the ice cream was particularly good! In the end, if you're looking for a really nice place where the service and the quality of the food is on another level, then Hyde Park should be your choice.

Love this place. The atmosphere and service are great, and the food is awesome. It's great for a A5 wagyu night or even just a weeknight sushi stop. The drinks are strong too I'm always satisfied leaving HP. Plus you can valet easy, it doesn't get much better for downtown Indy.
