The Anchor Inn - Warwick

Despite it being early evening on a Monday, this restaurant was full, which is a very good sign. It is a small pub with a good atmosphere and offers a menu that is very typical of pub food. We originally wanted fish and chips, but unfortunately they were sold out (the table next to us had it and it looked delicious). However, we were satisfied with our choices of Rib Eye Steak and the Fisherman's basket. The steak was cooked perfectly and was a generous size, served with delicious chips and peppercorn sauce. The Fisherman's basket included plaice goujons, scampi, and whitebait, and was also very tasty and a good value. The service was a bit slow, but they were busy so it was understandable. We definitely plan on coming back.

I had a wonderful lunch with three of my oldest friends at this restaurant. The menu offers a variety of options for everyone. I started with white bait, followed by a delicious sea bass and vegetables. The food was outstanding. The service and staff were excellent, and I can't thank them enough. Looking forward to dining here again soon.

The Sunday dinner was excellent and very affordable. I will definitely be returning.
