Feedback gevenMy new favorite Italian restaurant! After living on Federal Hill, i had thought that nothing could compare short of going to Italy.; I was and am happily mistaken. The foccia was fresh baked and delivered to our table. We received incredible service. Each member of their front of the house helped serve our table. It was magnificent. Patrons didn’t want to leave so we had a delay before being seated for our reservation and the restaurant was incredibly gracious and apologetic. They served us drinks as we sat outside and waited. Quickly, the problem was sorted out and we had an incredible experience. Since the dinner, I have recommended the restaurant to everyone. I live close by and will be going to Vanda regularly as I’ve recommended to friends and family.
What an amazing place! We had the calamari and the gnocchi topped with a dirty martini and it was hands down one of the best meals I've had in my entire life! I wish we would have caught the bartenders name but that woman could make a martini that would knock your socks off! I would recommend it to anybody!
Fantastic each time that we have been there. Food is unbelievably delicious. Best focaccia bread on the planet! Drinks are made well. Servers bartenders are personable. Apparently, you can “cello” anything! ? Do not let’s Vanda’s small space overlooking a rotary fool you. Stop and enjoy! You will not have a better Italian meal. PS make a reservation regardless of the time.
What a way to end a Birthday Celebration time away ... While traveling back from CT, we decided we wanted Italian. After watching an older ? movie Big Night '96 film staring Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci) we have been craving AUTHENTIC Italian. We found it!?From the moment we stepped inside we knew we were in a unique restaurant. We were warmly greeted and seated. Toni came over and welcome us. We asked for her recommendations. We went with them.? We started with their made daily FOCCACIA half. It was presented on a rustic cutting board with oil, house made butter and a garlic paste. This bread does NOT compare to anything we have ever had before. It was crunchy, airy, tasty and divine.?Toni recommend we pair it with the EGGPLANT appetizer. This is not something we would ordinarily order, but we decided to go ALL IN.The sauce was hands down the BEST POMODORO we have ever had. It had fresh basil, garlic ricotta.???For our main course we once again, trusted Toni. My wife got the BUCATINI with CACIO E PEPE sauce BURRATA. She added their housemade sausage.????The sausage was outstanding. Loved the herbs and flavor explosions in our mouth. The CACIO E PEPE sauce was delectable, peppery and oh so satisfying.?For my main course besides enjoying my wife 's) I again went with Toni 's recommendation and got the GNOCCHI ALLA SORRENTINA in the epic POMODORO sauce. I have never had Gnocchi before. They were light and heavenly. They tasted like little angel kisses.?For dessert Toni Testified To us about the BUTTERSCOTCH BUDINO.... In the words of Janice Oh, My Gawd! Friends Reference) This deliciously decadent dessert was like love in a mason Jar. Pecans, Toffee, Carmel, cocoa crumbles on top of housemade pudding....to die for!!?Each course was Epically crafted, created and presented with ? Love.?We will definitely be back!
Owner Dino Passaretta has conceived a winner. The space is warm charming with an abundance of natural light. With a strong influence from his mother Vanda, he has created an inspirational menu, which is exciting, creative and well worth a visit. It’s a five star experience.
