Arroz - Washington

The tapas portions are perfect for four people; they're a bit too large for just two if you want to sample a variety from the menu. Everything is well-prepared. However, during busy times, service can be slow and the noise level can get quite high. The large tables are great for accommodating bigger groups. There’s also a fantastic selection of wines from Spain. I’ll definitely return next time I'm in the city.

The service was terrible. While the food and drinks are still unique, they used to be exceptional. Unfortunately, the quality has declined.

The service was terrible. The waiter completely disappeared, making it a challenge to place an order when we needed something. They also failed to bring everything we ordered, claiming at the end of the night that they didn't have what we requested, which we were never informed about. To make matters worse, they added those missing items to the bill, so we ended up waiting even longer for a waiter to correct the check. I do not recommend this restaurant. Additionally, the valet parking is excessively expensive, even when they confirm a half-price rate.

Went with a group of friends for a nice dinner in DC. Was attracted to Arroz because of reservation availability and strong reviews. Reviews do not lie! Great food that is fairly priced. Quantities are small but that makes you appreciate every bite a little bit more. Definitely recommend seafood bomba rice. Honestly more upscale than it gets credit for

This is one of my favorite restaurants in DC, which is why I chose Arroz to celebrate my Birthday. As usual, the food was wonderful. I had a half order of the Pork Berkshire Pig Bomba Rice, while my husband had a half order of the Seafood Bomba Rice. They no longer serve the Duck Bomba Rice, which was delicious. It appeared that 1 server was handling all the tables. Given the workload, he did pretty good. When we made the reservations on Open Table, we were asked if it was a special occasion. We said it was my Birthday and we wanted a booth by the wall. They initially tried to seat us elsewhere, but quickly and pleasantly redirected us to a booth. However, there was never any acknowledgment of my Birthday. None! They didn’t even ask if we were celebrating something special, as many restaurants do. Pretty disappointing given we had just gone to Vinoteca for Happy Hour for the first time. The bartender (Pasha), upon hearing my husband toast my Birthday, totally surprised us by presenting the most beautiful and delicious desert for 2, with a candle! How special and what a wonderful surprise. We will definitely be going back.....to Vinoteca.
