In 20 minutes before closing (not usually do, but we just wanted a quick snack and go). He asked for a duffin and the guy at the switch said they were out. Girl cleaning beside him told him they did and pointed to the glass cabinet that has no sign. I have what we think was a cinnamon duffin and a chocolate cake pop. Cake Pop was actually really top animal, super rich chocolate and damp. The Duffin was just fine. I asked to let it warm up and the guy said nothing came back and threw it on us practically without words and went away. Leave a sour taste in my mouth. But if the duffin wasn't heated, it wouldn't have been good (I'm taking some dry). If the service had been better, I would have made four stars, but what can you do. I think the other workers seemed more friendly and helpful, but this guy didn't have a good day.
I'm so sad! I'm looking for a good bagel in the area and was so disappointed. I ordered a bagel with ox and asked for no caper and rehearsed it only home to my bagel filled with them. I decided to try anyway, and I just didn't think it was good. The bagel was thin and dense. Compared with photos from other reviews / website, I am somehow shocked on the difference. I'll say the checkout was very nice and the service was fast. I also liked the vibe, but I mourn the bagel that could have been
I wanted to try. I have a few bagels, a southwest egg sandwich, a vegan biscuit bar and a few fresh cheese. I didn't know they didn't offer meat when I got in. Not a big deal, though I admit that I believed a sausage, egg and cheese bagel when I arrived. The bagels were not bad (ordered the salted, simple and all bagels), and the cream cheese was also not rabby, although I personally think there are high-quality bagel connections elsewhere (Bethesda Bagels comes into the mind immediately). Share my honest, personal thoughts. The egg sandwich was fine, but it was a bit dry and the egg white overcooked a tad. Again, this is my opinion of a visit. The place itself is small but has a few small tables to eat with additional spots outside. The staff was friendly enough during my visit: not especially outgoing, but opened when I asked questions about certain items available. Overall, I thought this place was just OK. Note that they do not offer meat products, and their bagel selection is definitely much more restricted than other bagel stains in the DMV.3/5 star all-around.
Baked by Yael is a delicious kosher and nut-free bakery. It is vegetarian with many vegan options. I particularly love their challah, which they bake fresh every Thursday and Friday. I love picking one up early in the morning, fresh from the oven. Every single worker exudes pride in their products, and makes customers feel appreciated and welcome. Just great, all around!
