Burrito Brothers - Washington

Come for the food, stay for the people. After a long day of walking, I found myself craving a burrito. The catch? I was at the Lincoln Memorial, the farthest possible spot from where I needed to be on the National Mall. Despite the distance, I was determined to get that burrito based on rave reviews from others. In hindsight, I should have taken public transport, but I thought, how far could it be? If you’ve been out all day, I highly recommend using public transport, a bike, a scooter, or anything other than your feet to reach this place. The gentleman at the counter is incredibly friendly; he strikes up conversations with every customer and genuinely wants to hear about your day. Go in and support this wonderful spot!

I ordered a lunch plate that included three well-served tacos, along with a bowl of beans and a bowl of rice. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the beans tasted great. I chose chicken fajita tacos, and the chicken was exceptionally juicy. I also tried a carnitas taco, and it was outstanding—the flavor reminded me of home. We even got a bit emotional, as the restaurant brought back memories of our hometown. It was truly a memorable experience.

After a long night and an early morning at work, I decided to stop by during my lunch break. I ordered a chicken burrito loaded with all the fixings, and it was moist, fresh, and flavorful. I also tried the beef fajita platter, which was fantastic. To top it off, I had a side of plantains. Everything was delicious!

We ate here after visiting Library of Congress. Our 8 year-old loved being able to get pancakes for dinner, and we loved that we could get wonderful burritos at the same time. The pancakes were huge and came with 2 eggs and sausage for $11! This place is a solid choice if you’re in the area. I wish we found it sooner in our trip!

Just needed a little bit of food before going into the library. This was the perfect place to stop. We split a burrito and loved it. It came out quick and was delicious.
