I thought that was a new trend, but was disappointed.
The food was enjoyable, but the service left much to be desired. Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded, it took a long time for our meals to arrive. Initially, the waitress was attentive, but she then seemed to vanish. I had to ask the busboy for a cup of coffee to accompany my dessert. With a mandatory 20% service fee included, there may be little motivation for the staff to improve their service.
This was my second time at Dirty Habits. This visit we celebrated my sister-in-law’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was good. I started with the truffle fries as an appetizer (on the menu as a side), the grilled branzino for an entree (serves two) and cheesecake for dessert. I also enjoyed the Longevity cabernet. The ambiance is nice and the decor is chic. If I could change one thing, it would be the location of the restroom. Because the restaurant is in the hotel the restroom is on the third floor, which is a bit secluded with the men and women’s restrooms being right next to each other. As a woman I was uncomfortable with using the restroom alone (better safe).
The food was fantastic, and the staff was courteous and attentive.
Not a happy camper. The risotto presented like a fried Chinese rice dish. We sat directly in front of the kitchen and we’re STILL served cold churros. The server treated us as if we were a total hinderance.
