Don Pedro’s Family Mexican

My party arrived for dinner and were seated quickly without having to wait. Our drinks were served promptly. I inquired with our server about his recommendations and he suggested the shrimp tacos which turned out to be excellent.

The staff at this restaurant is fantastic. We were served our food promptly and didn't feel rushed. I ordered the Burrito Blanco with cream sauce and it was delicious, so much so that I had to take half of it home. My husband enjoyed his Carne Asada, and the rice and beans that came with our meals were also excellent. I had a large frozen strawberry daiquiri which was amazing, while my husband had a 24-ounce Dos Equis that he loved. From the complimentary corn chips and salsa to the overall dining experience, we have been to this restaurant three times and have never been disappointed.

I am attributing this terrible experience to a lack of staff help. I understand that businesses are struggling because of the pandemic, but they should make necessary adjustments to manage effectively. It took 20 minutes for us to be seated, despite the restaurant not being busy. After our table was set up, nobody informed us that we could take a seat, so we had to figure it out ourselves. The hostess could have easily let us know it was time to sit down. It took 15 minutes for someone to greet us after we finally sat down, and another hour for our food to arrive. The rice was awful, burnt and tasted like firewood. If this is how it's supposed to be, then I don't understand how it's still on the menu. Overall, the food was below average. It may look good, but I could make mashed potatoes look like ice cream. Our server was handling 5 other tables with a total of 33 customers. He seemed disorganized, running back and forth to the kitchen for a single refill instead of multitasking. He also made me uncomfortable by being touchy. This is a big no for me - you don't need to touch my shoulders. As I mentioned, it must have been due to a lack of staff help. I can't find any other reason why everything was so bad. I will not be returning and will erase Don Pedro Family Mexican restaurant from my memory.

We have found a new favorite Mexican restaurant, service is fast and efficient and eating is great. I had seafood entrees and huh, which are very tasteful. chips come with salsa and spicy bean dip. we try to eat at don pedro a few times in the month. highly recommended!

Large Mexican kitchen and beautiful atmosphere. I had the Enchiladas mix and enchilada with Blanco sauce. both fantastic.
