Fish In The Neighborhood - Washington

The owner provides excellent customer service and the food is very delicious. We always have a hard time choosing between the grilled and fried fish. Even though I don't usually cook, they are so perfectly cooked that I just had to try them. I was not disappointed. This restaurant is definitely one of the best hidden gems in DC, and their fish is even fresher than at the wharf!

Firstly, customers must either call or place their order at the window from outside the restaurant. They are also required to wait outside. Additionally, the restaurant only accepts cash as payment, which can be inconvenient and not ideal to handle cash outside. The prices are deemed to be too high for the portion of 3 pieces of fish with macaroni.

As a seasoned cook with over 35 years of experience, I have enjoyed preparing delicious seafood dishes for my family, friends, and customers. However, when I am looking for the best seafood in town, I always head to Fish in the Cat. They consistently deliver top-notch dishes and although it may be a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving it a try! Two thumbs up!

Ol' Bill. Been eating here for at least close to 20 years and haven't had a bad meal yet. Try the broiled porgy, half pound of broiled shrimp on top with a side of collard greens. ?????

Good Fried Snapper, really large portion sizes and really nice staff and owner. I recommend this legendary fish spot and will visit it again
