Ossobuco - Washington

This restaurant was absolutely exceptional. While five-star reviews can sometimes feel insincere, I assure you that this place truly earns every bit of it. Firstly, the staff and service were outstanding; everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly well-versed in the menu, with our server providing excellent recommendations. Secondly, the drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. They also had an enticing wine special and a wonderful selection, so we will definitely return to explore that further. Wow, this place is a must-try! We live just down the street, and I can’t believe it took us so long to come here. I'm so glad we finally did! The food is absolutely amazing—fresh, homemade pasta with fantastic flavors in the sauce. The menu offers great options, and there’s an excellent selection of Italian wines along with a full bar. The service is wonderful, almost rivaling the incredible food. The prices are reasonable considering the generous portions. This is a hidden gem in Columbia Heights, and we can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic meal! I absolutely loved my basil cocktail. The service was excellent, and our waitress was very sweet. My rockfish was outstanding, and my friend's octopus was both delicious and generous in portion. Dinner was such a delightful experience that one person in our group has already made reservations to come back next week!

Outdoor dined here on a Saturday night, excellent atmosphere with the surrounding restaurants all bustling. Food and service were top notch. We ordered the grilled Octopus appetizer, veal ossobuco, and seafood fettuccine. Octopus was perfectly cooked and accentuated by a unique carrot purée. We knew we had to get the ossobuco and this was the star of the show as expected! A huge portion size of an entire veal shank. I?d recommend splitting this between 2-4 people.
