The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. The staff is polite and friendly. The restaurant is clean and the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. Some of the specials may be a bit pricey, though.

No, please, why would they ever serve raw onions on a fried fish sandwich? Did I not ask for tomato twice and specifically request hot paprika mayo? How do they mess up a fish sandwich - and their shoestring fries are terrible. They forgot to include gravy with my children's small potatoes and then charged an extra $3 for it.

At 9:00, the restaurant always closes 7 to 8 minutes early, so customers prefer to eat outside. The food is overly salty and can leave you with a headache. Me and other customers sitting outside all agreed that we could do without it. Overall, the experience was frustrating.

Great 10's across the board.If something is wrong, they will gladly rectify the issue.

Shrimp Boat is a DC landmark and food experience. It has Soul Food, The BBQ chicken wings are the best. They sell baked fish,chicken, turkey wings, etc. Anything you could think of. I love their vegetables. The mixed vegetables and the cabbage are my favorite. They sell breakfast throughout the day, It is a popular landmark for Benning Road and East Capital Street. East Capital Street crosses into MD. Shrimp boat also has the outside vendors on the East Capital side during the late spring and summer. It also sits next to the Benning Rosd subway station on the Benning road side of NE.
