Whole Foods Market I St - Washington

The food area is quite similar to its standard- whole food, so I will not comment too much on it. the salatable was at best average. we came two days in the evening. I just didn't see much vegan that was also good looking or inviting. many record labels were also gone, so I had no idea if they were safe. the whole operation felt unorganized. the location is great, so that's it. this is a 2.5 rounded to a 3.

I can't talk to her buffet, but the food department here is great! most of the whole food branded items will mark Vegan/Vegetarian on the back of the product. tons of vegan vegetarian options in the frozen section, the canned meals, and even in the snack isle. great selection of tofu and faux meat as well. updated by previous review on 2017-06-18

Sort a lot for vegan. it is clean and well maintained. Hot and cold foods are available. has to try it since. the braided, typical dining room for full food.

I usually don't write an evaluation when I don't enjoy my experience, but that's a chain and I was so disappointed! I went to breakfast, and the only thing she had vegan was tofu cubes, sweet potatoes and plantains. there was a pure heel flakes with water, but the steel cut had seen. the coffee? had to wait a while until it was finished (745 o'clock). and when it was finished, it was overcrowded and hard to prepare her coffee. also: no vegan desserts (exceptions: 1-2 cookies on a whole cookie wall; whole vegan apple cake). the food department below had some vegan options, but I was looking for local products and ingredients and did not find too much. I always expect that whole foods have a lot of vegan options.

As another reviewer mentioned, this is a typical WF store. The ground floor does have a nicely stocked salad bar, with tempeh, tofu, soups and other vegan choices. So if in doubt for dinner and it's before 11pm, jump off the Metro at Foggy Bottom GWU, cross the street, and stay on the first floor rather than the basement. If you want something fancier, there's a Roti and a SweetGreen between the Metro escalators and the store.
