Compass rose is one of the best restaurants you can go to in dc because of the atmosphere, the flavor, and the friendly service. We tried the around the world menu, and boy were we impressed! The taste of the dishes have deep yet light authentic flavors. We especially liked the lamb, as the meat is premium quality. It is one of the hardest to pull off. Amazing food at this place. Went there on a Saturday night with a reservation, we were a group of three. They have great dunks here and kept our water filled with a bottle at the table. Staff was very attentive. We decided to do the fixed price menu and it was such a good idea, they were also accommodating to dietary restrictions. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and very satisfied!

Compass Rose is defiantly eclectic?from its food that?s inspired by cuisine all around the world to its decor with flowing fabrics in the back that evokes a house in Morocco. I want to love this place more, but I found that their Tour of the World set menu has many dishes that were a little too spicy for me. In addition, as someone who?s severely lactose intolerant, while they could set aside dairy for a certain dish, there were no substitutions offered for their cheesy

One of my favorite places to eat in DC with an ever changing menu filled with foods from all across the globe. Always some new and interesting to try here. Not a place for picky eaters but if you love to try new foods you've possibly never even heard of, this is the restaurant for you! Also, they have some really good and interesting cocktails, one of which was a dill infused vodka martini.

I had a great experience here. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. The around the world food package was great. It was a new and fun experience. I recommend sitting outside during good weather. Our server was knowledgeable and very nice. At the end of the date my boyfriend and I were full and satisfied. I would come back here again.
