Lebanese Taverna

Absolutely lovely experience! Friendly service and amazing food. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. I will be back with friends!

Service was fantastic even though it was busy. We never felt rushed. They didn?t have the bottle of wine we ordered so they gave us a better on that was perfect with the meal. The only downside was I had so much fun (and so much to drink) that I didn?t take any photos. Fortunately, they let us take home the wine we didn?t finish. That?s the photo I chose.

We ate a delicious dinner at the Lebanese Taverna after a long day at the zoo. The service was great and everything we tried was perfectly cooked and flavored. We had our 3 year old with us and she enjoyed coloring on the kids? menus with the crayons they provided. The bathrooms were bright and clean plus there was an area of sinks for hand washing. There was a nice variety of cocktails and beers including non alcoholic of both. You could eat at tables outside or indoors

Last night was the second time we ate at Lebanese Taverna in DC. The food is outstanding. I ordered lamb shish kebab, the waiter asked me how I wanted the lamb cooked and I said medium rare. Well, the lamb came out well done. I mentioned it to the waiter and in a bothered manner he just said Well I asked for medium rare . He didn 't seem to care. Otherwise, everything was delicious and we will return.

Might be delicious to others, but personally I did not like it, this was my first experience with Lebanese food. Some dishes are served cold (on purpose! and that was hard to adjust to. I could tell the food had great flavor, but I couldn't get over the temperature The herbal lemonade was good though!
