This restaurant is fresh, unique, and delicious. We will definitely be returning. It is conveniently located near our home. I absolutely adored the sweet and spicy scallops wrapped in bacon with fresh pineapple, and topped with dark chocolate (I am a chocolate lover, after all!). The food was full of flavor, the service was great, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. I wore jeans, but if you want to dress up a bit on the weekends, you would fit right in. The private booths would be a romantic setting for a date. You will love it!
Just what Waterdown needs. For people who are not looking for another roadhouse, all day breakfast or, um, Angel 's. The watermark fills a gap left when Dodi 's closed; an affordable restaurant with a more eclectic menu, with some interesting alternatives along side more traditional fare.<br/ <br/ We first discovered the Watermark on its official opening night, and we 're pleased with how they had transformed the previous ESM location to a pleasant dining experience. The decor is clean, modern, and inviting, and the staff is very attentive and professional.<br/ <br/ The menu may not appeal to everyone, and Tose with an open mind will be rewarded. The Californa Fusion 'Nacho ' appetizer is actually a half dozen wonton wrappers topped with chicken and other toppings which would be at home on a more traditional bed of nacho chips. As the menu states, these are not your traditional nachos!<br/ <br/ We returned last evening, where I was treated to a lobster Caesar appetizer, an item which was on there first menu, and for which I have been pining since its removal. I guess they tired of my 'complaining ' for it 's return, and chef Dan accommodated us with a special preparation of this wonderful concoction. Perhaps if more of us request this, we will see its much needed return to the menu, or at least as a periodic special offering.<br/ <br/ We followed with Caesar salads, which rank among the best Waterdown and surrounding area has to offer. For the main course, I enjoyed the prime rib (I was in a more traditional mood last night), which was prepared perfectly. My wife ordered the daily special, a pasta Dish, which she quite enjoyed.<br/ <br/ Bottom line, Watermark provides a great and affordable alternative to the same ole same old, which an interesting menu, inviting decor, friendly and attentive hosts, and a well rounded, if somewhat limited, wine list. This has the potential to be THE place to dine in Waterdown.
Not consistant. My husband and I have been to the WAtermark twice on a weekday evening and are planning to go this sat night as well. First time there was fantastic. Service was great I had mahi mahi and it was fantastic. Best garlic mashed pototoes I'd ever had as well. My husband's meal (chicken) was not as hot as mine. Last time I ordered mahi mahi again but it was not as hot or as good as last time, potatoes good but not hot. My husband had the pepper steak and it was fantastic he said. Service was excellent both times. So, this next visit will tell whether we continue to go back. I'll keep you posted!
Becoming a regular. I have been to the restaurant many time and have become a fan of the California Fusion Nachos. I would have to say that the Cadbury Salad is one of my favorite entrees.<br/ <br/ Our servers name last time in was Jeff and he was exceptional. <br/ <br/ We will certainly be going back.
