The Three Shippes - Waterford

The two of us showed up here on Tuesday evening. Quick and friendly service. Great Guinness. And the food was pub fare but of a higher standard. Really tasty and plenty of it. Two of us for dinner and drinks was €88. Pretty good value all round in traditional surroundings.

The food in this pub was amazing I had chicken goujons it was delicious and there was plenty of it food and drink prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit

A real surprise! Beautiful traditional Irish pub inside with a great atmosphere. Fantastic food! Very friendly staff and nice to get a warm Irish welcome.

(Un)fortunately, or not, I am old enough to remember the American TV series 'Cheers ' (prior to the worldwide repeats of the iconic comedy). The tagline of this fictional Boston, Massachusetts bar/pub is Where Everybody Knows Your Name . However (as someone who 's had the privilege of being able to travel extensively), this tagline is in my humble opinion 100% apt to this all encompassing establishment. My husband, Alan Hearne and I were fortunate to happen on this gem a few years ago after other local establishments stopped serving Peroni (his favourite beverage). We are grateful they did as, we at first hand know, the Shippes staff and regular customers know/embraces all patrons, and are inclusive of all newbies and visitors to Waterford City and County. The Three Shippes Brig Bar is a sublime ambassador of Waterford/Ireland 's Céad Míle Fáilte!
