That’s when Carl, the owner, completely changed his demeanor. He became visibly upset and rudely instructed a very friendly staff member at the pro shop to issue us a rain check. There was no justification for his anger, and he refused to discuss it further. I even offered to pay for a fourth player if that was necessary. He responds with, "Okay, go pay for it then." As the owner, he should treat paying customers with respect, not the way he did. He should be ashamed of his behavior. I did find some amusement watching him hit several balls straight into the lake next to the clubhouse. Carl, we will not be returning to your course. You clearly do not belong in a customer-facing role, and I hope other owners take note of this.

If I could, I would give this place zero stars. I’ve had several unpleasant interactions with the staff, particularly the Marshall, and the condition of the course is barely playable. This is the only course in the area where I don’t feel welcome, and I wouldn’t want to bring my child here to practice putting or even just ride along in the cart while I play. I'm certain we would be asked to leave, and it's happened to others before. Save your time and money on this place; you might end up being kicked off for simply trying to enjoy yourself.

We've played there many times with young children without any issues. It’s puzzling that the same insurance doesn’t stop them from selling unlimited beer to cart drivers, yet a four-year-old celebrating his birthday on an empty course is too much. They then went to Annbriar, where they were greeted warmly with happy birthday wishes. As residents of Waterloo, golf is a big part of our lives. We plan to encourage the over 100 local golfers we know to stay away from Mystic Oaks and spread the word about this experience. We have supported this course through various ups and downs—regardless of course conditions, fire damage, or painted greens—simply because it was a cherished part of our local culture. However, ruining my grandson's birthday is something we can’t overlook. Charlie Robertson

Service and food was fantastic. I will definitely recommend others to visit.The view is amazing also.

Golf course was awesome for the end of February. Everyone was super nice. My fried okra was delicious, but the chicken nachos were drenched in bbq sauce. I could barely eat them. Overall it was a good time, and I will return.
