Lourenco's Bakery - Waterloo

This bakery located in the St. Jacobs Farmers Market is amazing, the baked goods are fresh, homemade with love and are delicious. My Son and Daughter in Law hired them to bake their treats for their desert table at their wedding, big hit, everyone loved them.

Shop on a weekly basis at the Waterloo market for these tarts. They are delicious! The pastry tart bottom is a true dough for pasteis. Tasted like the ones in Portugal, Lisbon area pasteis de Belem. The donuts are proper yeast donuts and are equally great. Thank you .

Not sure if they have a full service shop in town, but we visited their booth at the Farmer's Market. It is a busy little stall with a good selection of baked goods. Their sign selling "Snowballs" caught my attention. We thought they were the Rothenburg-type Schneeballen, but they were actually more like a sweetbun cut in half and stuffed with icecream.

Richmond Hill Deli offers a great variety of Russian groceries, deli meats, and cheese. The selection of pierogies is especially impressive.

The pierogi at this restaurant are fantastic! We tried the traditional cheese and potato as well as the delicious sour cherry.
