Adam's Cafe Tonino's Fish and Chips

Fish hard and inedible Picked up to 9/4 two Spanish mackerel chips. Mackerel was gray, hard and full of Gristle. Recorded to see the sunset, with the children a damper on our evening.

Was here two times now and the BTH times had been missing several food items... both times have spent $100 on fish and chips and at least $20 of things were missing!!! They're absolute tears. Check your food immediately when you buy... from here because they are forced to try and rip out u! Shame people!!!!

We enjoyed some delicious fish and chips at this restaurant by the sea. The portions were generous and the service was quick. The staff member always makes sure to include some calamari rings with our order.

Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the strong smell of oil, with a hint of rancidity. Despite this, with two hungry children in tow, we decided to stay. The portions were very large, and the fish and chips were average at best. The price of $15 for one plate seemed a bit high, and it would have been nice if they included tartar sauce for free. The portion size was so large that children could have easily shared one. It would be helpful if they offered a smaller, child-sized portion. The total bill of $70 for fish and chips and three drinks was quite expensive. The view was nice, but the atmosphere was lacking. Overall, I would not choose to dine here again.

I don’t like writing negative reviews, but man this really did not live up to expectation. As you enter you are welcomed by a sign sayin this place was voted the best seaside fish and chip shop. Omg! That is an insult to every other...fish and chip shop in the area. I genuinely don’t know what year they were voted this as itisnt recent. So why was it bad. Easy over priced for the very poor quality. The Spanish mackerel was okay, but you really can’t mess that up. The batter was soggy, thin and didn’t bring anything to the party. The chips were just tasteless, colourless and utterly unappetising. To make things worse both of us were a bit ill after eating this don’t want to go into detail, but you know what I’m getting at. Never been ill from fish and chips. I will not ever be going back there again.
