Vimy's Lounge & Grill - Waterton

Stopped in for a quick meal with a small group of friends. Service staff were great. The fish and chips were very good. Breaded pan fry and not deep fried. It was moist and delicious. My wife had shrimp pasta and she said that it was very good as well. We will return to try something else on the menu.

Stopped in at Vimys for breakfast before we went to the beach, and we couldn't believe how terrible the service was. Food orders came out at separate times, the server did not come to check on us at all after dropping off food, other tables not cleaned. After waiting for 10 minutes after our meal was finished, we went in to pay. We were outside on the patio so we thought that it must be busy inside but there was 3 servers and 1 other customer inside. All 3 servers were watching TV. The sever didn't even greet us as we asked for our bill, nor did she say thank you. One of our worst restaurant experiences in a long time....

Really enjoyed our Saturday evening dinner at Vimy's. Lots of pleasant surprises! Started the meal off with authentic Halifax fried pepperonis with just enough spice - good east coast memories. Sticking with the theme, couldn't resist the fish & chips. Vimy's style fish & chips are panko crusted and definitely take the standard fish & chips up a notch. First time I had panko fish and found it deliciously crunchy and definitely less oily! My dinner mate enjoyed the beet salmon that was visually interesting and yummy. Vimy's delighted us with a very unique apple crisp presentation where the apple crisp goodies were stuffed into a baked apple which was cooked to perfection - a wee bit firm but not mushy. Our server Paulina was attentive and friendly and always came to the table with a smile. Would definitely recommend Vimy's for a relaxing and delicious dinner in Waterton. They are not on the main street - only a block away and worth the very short walk!Really wanted to try the portobello burger...will do that next time!

We sat upstairs in the "fine dining" area. The table clothes were all wrinkled and the atmosphere is let than great. The server was the highlight of the evening, she was very nice and efficient. The menu is more of a bar menu than anything else, had the spinach and artichoke dip with naan at the appetizer and it was the best thing of the night. The mustard sauce on the pork brochette was very over powering. The fried rice was made with instant rice, not impressed. Had the crepe for dessert and the crepe was overcooked, the ice cream was grainy and the fruit filling was overcooked. Would not go back.

Had a great meal here before getting on the road to drive home,went early so it wasn't busy and had a good hearty breakfast.Super friendly waitress(sorry didn't get her name) but everyone seems eager to help here.Hated to eat and run but will return again.
