Faraday Bistro Waterville Co Kerry

On the day we visited, there were reservations for 3 buses but we were able to enjoy our lunch before they arrived. The freshly caught plaice was delicious. The staff was welcoming and provided great service, and the prices were reasonable as well.

This appeared to be a mixture of pub and cafe rather than a restaurant but we enjoyed our meal which was served by friendly and efficient staff. i would recommend it.

We were hungry and pressed for time so we just went in and ordered. This place is a miserable hole, no atmosphere with complacent and uninterested staff. We had cold meat salad which had warm chicken on it which looked like it had just been thawed in the microwave, inedible. Look I'm not going to slaughter the place for the sake of it, but I strongly recommend you do not eat here, awful food. There's a few decent looking places a bit further along the road.

To give a better idea, we had been in Ireland driving around for 6 days already before stopping here and eating on our drive around the Ring of Kerry. So, we had plenty of other places to compare this place to before writing this review. Having said that, this was the absolute worst place we ate at during our Ireland trip and probably the worst place we have eaten at in all of our travels around Europe during the 10 years we've lived here. That is how bad this place was. The only positive side is they have a good view out to the water. Other than that, avoid eating here. Hopefully TripAdvisor will get this place listed on their restaurant list so reviews can be added there as well as we did not stay at the hotel portion.

I have dined at this restaurant numerous times. The food is exceptional and prepared with care. The prices are affordable considering the high quality of the dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and has a cozy atmosphere.
