The Islands Catering - Waubeka

They catered my mother's funeral luncheon, and the food was fantastic. They were so accommodating, and everyone raved about the quality of the food. They had an extensive menu to choose from and all of it was exceptional. The German potato salad was delicious, and the 7-layer salad, shrimp salad, and the baked beans were like homemade. We had an array of meats, cheeses and sausages, and the rolls were fresh and very tasty. The children really liked the meatballs, and we also had chicken stroganoff as one of our meat dishes., Their prices were reasonable, and their service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this catering service to anyone.

Was not impressed with some of the food as it was ok but not great. Some of the food was just not good. Salad bar was fresh and good. Soups were French onion and chicken dunpling, both looked good. I had the French onion, it coagulated once I put some in the bowl....one bite, nope! Not good! Desserts looked great but apparently were beyond their time due to being so firm the plate bounced when trying to cut a piece of cake with a fork.... Note also that your bill will have an automatic gratuity if there are 10 or more in your party, even though it is buffet style and minimal server interaction. There were 15 in our party. I would not recommend this buffet to my friends. I will not return.

Th e Islands are a nice place to go and eat, I've had the fish and it was very good, I've had a burger and it was good too! I gotta check out more of the menu. Judy is a very good worker and always has a smiling face, and Cole Thomas is the best dishwasher in the place!! Hopefully we will get to see more of the Islands as we live 2 blocks away!

They catered our company picnic in Port Washington. It was excellent food with great servers!
