The Flying Dutchman - Waveney

I went on Sunday for a roast. I liked the meal it was nice but we waited a long time and there didn’t appear to be many people in the place. I thought the non meat version was pretty good but my plate looked pretty empty compared to the other people I was with. I would have thought that because they had to take certain food off my plate like the stuffing for some reason they could have replaced it with more of the other things. The staff were nice though but long waiting times. Would go again.

This restaurant is thriving. It is clear to me that the bar staff, Functions Manageress, and the landlord are all that a good pub needs. I had previously booked the Barn Function room to host a reception buffet and celebrate a christening at the local church. The Landlord quickly realized that I had no idea how to organize such an event, so the planning was taken out of my hands and handled by the team. I was very impressed with the plentiful food, excellent presentation, and superbly decorated function room. All the guests enjoyed the atmosphere and were very complimentary about the gathering, which was a huge relief for me. Congratulations to the team at The Flying Dutchman. Thank you.

We had our wedding reception at The Barn on September 16th. The staff went above and beyond for us, especially Becks who arranged the venue setup and the food was incredible! I highly recommend The Flying Dutchman to anyone looking for exceptional service and experience for any type of celebration. Thank you all so much for everything, you are amazing!

I went to the pizza night and it was great value at just £5. The staff was very friendly and it made for a great Monday dinner. Thank you!

My husband and I called in here for food We had previously called in and watched a band a couple of weekends a go and had said we would try the food next time. Well, we turned up on quiz night. It was really busy, however we were given a warm welcome and everyone went out of their way to get us a table. We ordered off the specials board, I had pork belly and hubby had venison medallions, both cooked beautifully, we followed this with homemade cheesecake. All the food was amazing, very delicious and good value too. Chris, Becs and their staff are great. Thank you.
