We tried the roast on a Thursday and were impressed by the generous portion size and high standard of cooking. I asked how they were able to offer such good value for money, and Kate, one of the managers, explained that it was all thanks to their clever buyer. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and eager to please.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, with a focus on traditional English cooking, especially their fantastic roasts served twice a week. Don't be deterred by the older crowd, as they also offer coffee, tea, and snacks in the mornings. This place is a community hub with various activities taking place in different rooms at Haslewey.
This centre is opposite Tesco in Haslemere, and is home to a very friendly cafe, which is open at lunchtime. They are run by volunteers, and the quality and value of the food is excellent. There are the regulars, but anyone can pop in for a snack or meal. There are specials of the day, which was salmon in cheese and parsley sauce with new potatoes and vegetables for £6, and for under £2 the apple crumble and ice cream/custard looked delicious. They make tasty sandwiches, soups etc.
I called in for lunch recently with family members, there is wide choice of snacks, main meals and all are cooked to perfection. Judging from the well attended restaurant I am sure that chef Mark and his team's hard work are much appreciated. Incredible value and superb food.
This cafe located near Tesco's offers great value for well-prepared food. While it may attract older customers, there is also a good mix of younger patrons. Operated by volunteers, the prices for ploughman's, sandwiches, and the daily hot meal are quite affordable. There is a cozy outdoor seating area and they also offer good quality coffee and fresh cakes. Additionally, they provide free wifi for customers.
