Partner made a cup of tea the milk dropped in a lump. There are stains down the wall. Dust on the floor etc bare wires exposed on the sealing , fire extinguisher on corridor floor loosely . I have photos .....
Went for a breakfast with my son but the nearest we could get was 2x toasted cheese and ham sandwiches add 2 x Lattes , toasties were ice cold in the centre and coffees were not up to much , however , we were charged £20.90 for this delight unbelievable , no wonder this country is in such a mess .
I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in total stayed 3 nights then away for 2 and back for another 4, as most of the other reviewers have said the rooms are a bit dated however comfortable. the food in the bar/restaurant was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. However the best thing about this hotel is the location right next to the Devils Punchbowl National Trust with its fantastic views and walks.
Had a really lovely dinner- cider battered cod and chips- really tasty, generous portion with amazing tartare sauce and peas. Would definitely order this again! My teenage boys all thoroughly enjoyed burger and chips. Service was really friendly and polite- nothing too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Room wasn't great mould in the corners of the windows and just looked dirty old and run down.. bathroom was disgusting again mould and mildew on the tiles..
