Black Powder Tavern - Wayne

Loved the dinner special of scallops and tomatoes and fresh corn. Delightful summer meal! Would like to continue seeing more specials!

Very good food at reasonable prices. Great ambiance. Sat in the back dining room which was quieter than the main dining room. Carol, our waitress, was a gem! She was knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

Good dinner quite busy but the food came quickly. Really nice waiter. Salmon was very good, and NY Strip was delicious.

The server we had was very pleasant! Enjoyed our visit.

A little disappointed this visit. Went for a quick lunch. We usually go for dinner. Decided to try the veggie burger based on recent dietary restrictions. I love mushrooms and have had portobello mushroom burgers before, so I figured that was the main ingredient and taste. So wrong with that assumption. It had a very unique taste, probably wouldn’t order again. It was very red, assuming the beers too over the burger “mix.” It was also a very “mushy” burger, so it was like biting into mashed something or another. None of the ingredients were identifiable in this patty. First time so I was experimenting. Just won’t select that again. The side of cole slaw was good. Wife had a burger with side of house chips. Burger was a bit undercooked, but was fine. The chips, however, didn’t seem as good as in the past. A little more crunchy and a lot less taste. Not sure what happened here. Hopefully just a bad batch. Overall we like Black Powder Tavern and have been many times. Today’s visit was just a bit underwhelming, which is rare.
