Some of the reviews here are quite trivial; people seem to complain about the smallest details. The food is fantastic, and the owners are wonderful. Their story is inspiring, and their commitment to community service, as well as their support for veterans and first responders, is truly refreshing. As a veteran and first responder myself, I find it to be an incredible place. My daughter loves both the food and the decor; her first authentic BBQ experience was a hit. Just a heads up: if you want good food, you might have to wait, but it's definitely worth it. I went on Memorial Day, and although the line was long, it moved quickly. They've only been open for a week, and like any new business, they're working on managing customer demand in this new location. I'll definitely be back soon with some patches for the wall.
However, I’ve changed my rating to 5 stars! I went for takeout during lunchtime, and the food was delicious! The wait time was reasonable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I will definitely be returning!
The food was excellent, and all the sauces were delicious. My favorite was the espresso sauce. The meats were all well-cooked, with the brisket and turkey really standing out. The pastrami was a bit on the salty side, though. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Be sure to try the crabby pickle! It's a small place, takeout only.
I had a wonderful dining experience! The food was outstanding, particularly the brisket, which was nothing short of amazing. The pastrami was good but a little dry for my taste. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the kimchi was the best I've ever had. Their homemade BBQ sauce was truly exceptional. If you're craving BBQ, I strongly recommend this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome, especially since it was my first time visiting.
What a fantastic little spot! It's a shame we discovered it so late, especially since they're relocating to a new place with indoor seating and a BYOB option. For the next few days, they're still in Kearny, New Jersey, and the food was absolutely amazing. The brisket was wonderfully tender, the pastrami practically melted in my mouth, and the ribs were smoked to perfection. The staff were attentive and friendly, clearly passionate about what they do. I overheard some locals saying that this place will be missed in the neighborhood.
