The location is new but Redd knows a lot about BBQ. Place is nice and clean. Redd is there pressing the flesh meeting everyone. I’ve never met him before, however he seems very genuine and he love making BBQ.I got the brisket plate with coleslaw and potatoes salad and I added a side of ribs. I’ll start with the meats.Brisket was tender and tasty. I was given bbq sauce but didn’t use it because it didn’t need it.Ribs had good flavor and were finished with bbq sauce which was good. I like a little carmelized bbq sauce on my ribs. The ribs were meaty however I like mine a like cooked a little longer. When serving in a restaurant it’s hard to have ribs perfect due to not knowing when they will be served, that being said I prefer them like Redd does vice completely falling off the bone. The taste was still spot on.Potatoes salad was excellent. Great traditional yellow mustard potatoe salad. Not “dry” like you sometimes get.Coleslaw didn’t have much flavor. I guess I like a little something in my coleslaw. It t didn’t taste bad, just didn’t have much taste at all.I did get sauce, just didn’t use on the meats. It’s a dark orange sauce that I relate to Hienz 57 style sauce. It has good flavor, not hot but tangy.They are just starting up and I expect them to only get better as they gain experience. Stop by and give Redd a try. I’ll be stopping back to try the pulled pork and chicken.
This was our 1st time here. And WOW! We ordered 2 Ribeyes...they were the BEST steaks that we have ever eaten! Also 1st time I have eaten rice and hash...it was amazing! Very friendly environment...feels like your walking into family's! Even met Chef Redd! Everyone was wonderful. Please try them out. Highly recommend.
Come by and get some down-home Georgia barbecue. Ribs chicken brisket and pulled pork along with all the good fixins! This is the real deal. Redd knows a thing or three about how to make tender and flavorful meat, He has been smoking only the best since the age of 13Food: 5/5
