Dough Boys Pizza - Waynesville

Husband and I vacationing and camping in Maggie Valley. We are Pizza lovers and have always loved the Pizza from Frankie?s, but things took a sharp turn in the direction of Waynesville. After being set straight that there was better Pizza to be had, weended up getting to the bottom of this and trying Dough Boys Pizza. This place is off the beaten path and a Gem of a place forbeer drinkers and Pizza Junkies like ourselves. Behind Main st, backside of Bogarts restaurant. Does not look like a big placebut boy was I wrong. Parking in front and across the street. You go in and get in line to order your drinks and food at the bar.Long bar, lots of seating. This place has 50 craft beers and they are listed on this huge chalkboard. Long and short picnic typetables, tables for 2 people, another area with couches and TV?s. Really neat because the kitchen area is open and you can watchthe pizza?s being made. Order, find your spot and they give you a number which is displayed so they can find you to deliver yourfood. Such a great place, casual and people can let their hair down and have a good ol time. Well, on to the important part, theFabulous food and the guest of honor, darn good, delicious, wonderful, Pizza!! I use to love you Frankie?s but you gotCompetition, big time! Ordered the Black Balsam specialty pizza, it was delivered to us in the box cut up, when finished off yougo with your breakfast leftovers for the morning!! How clever is that! Pizza is NY style, great crust and sauce and ampletoppings, great deal and worth the $23. Also ordered the Cleopatra specialty salad which in my opinion was like a Caesar saladbut so much more, delish it was and hub and I pounded it down along with that wonderful pizza. Oh forgot to mention the beer wasgreat and cold. We really enjoyed our experience and I have to say we returned a second time before we went back to Mich. The wings were so good! They were perfectly cooked. Good ranch and blue cheese. The fridge mozzarella was delicious. You can tell they were made in house and not the frozen sticks everyone serves. Great beer selection. May come back before the end ofour vacation and try the pizza!

Best pizza I've had. Perfectly thin and crunchy crust. Can't go wrong with any of the speciality pizzas. The mixed fry basket is a must. The ranch is delicious. Salads are fresh and massive!

I love this place! Josh the bartender beer server was awesome. Very friendly professional. The beer selection is really super and a wide selection of really good craft beers. The pizza was delicious! The salad too. FIVE STARS!! Definitely!

OMG where to begin!! First time eating here and so grateful we found this place. We ordered the Buffalo chicken tenders as appetizers and that is the best Buffalo sauce we've ever had- its homemade! Second, the pizzas were freshly made and you caneven watch the kitchen do their magic. They really work hard back there. Thank you guys! Third, they have a variety of beer andwine selection. I had the blueberry blonde and it was delicious. Customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant were onpoint. Amazing atmosphere as well. I would have meetings, gatherings, etc. here. This is a place I will come eat at every timewe visit the Waynesville area.
