An excellent Italian restaurant with outside tables in warmer weather by the side of the river. As would be expected, their main dishes are choices of home-made pizza and pasta although their fish and meat dishes are delicious. They serve an excellent 2 or 3 course weekday set lunch for £12.95 and £14.95 ....and the tiramisu is not to be missed!
I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant on February 14th, so I decided to come back. While enjoying my spaghetti, I discovered a hard object in my mouth that turned out to be a piece of wood covered in silver foil, larger than a big tooth. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, the chef claimed it was a mistakenly cut piece of garlic, which was clearly untrue. I did not finish my meal and despite the lack of apology from the chef, I was only offered my own meal for free. I was dining with two family members, and I will not be returning to this restaurant. It's best to reconsider dining here.
The pizzas at this restaurant are excellent and reasonably priced, but unfortunately the front of house service is lacking. When we visited at 8pm on a Saturday night, there were only two other couples in the restaurant. A more friendly greeting and service with a smile would go a long way. The owner did not seem too concerned when we offered constructive criticism. It would benefit the restaurant to listen to their customers as they have the potential to improve.
Came for New Year’s Eve, as we entered we were warned by leaving customers to NOT eat here should have listened to them!! the stale atmosphere was very strange as was the INDIAN music playing the whole night. Waited 40mins to get a drink the Brie starter was off as was the meatballs! Microwaved! The pizza was literally tasteless furthest thing from Italian food Cold dead staff. Absolute rubbish.
