J Bennett Fish Chips - Wealden

Finally this regular favourite is in good hands. Back to serving great fish and chips and is again a firm favourite. Mixed experience since the original owner retired but now delivers on every visit. Delicious fish and chips best in the area.

The service was unfriendly, and the food was disappointing. My burger was overcooked, dry, and half cold, while my wife’s chicken burger was unappetizing and bland. The chips were also lacking in flavor. Overall, the prices were too high for the quality of the food we received. We left feeling unimpressed.

As a local I’ve always been a fan of this place and enjoyed the food regularly Last Saturday 16/03/24 I turned up at 19.50 looking forward to my dinner to be greeted by the cook and a young lad Bear in mind it’s a Saturday night and it’s 1 hour and 10 mins till there are supposed to close at 21.00 No food just one piece of fish in warmer when I asked for sausage and chips No sorry mate was answered We have Finshed as he kept on cleaning You have lost my business !!!!!!

Phoned an order head and still waited 30mins for the food. Food is good but the service can be terrible. Need to get better at time keeping.

I've been there a thew times just moved into crowborough I asked for light batt fish I think he must of missed heard me and said extra batter on fish wow not the best
