Feedback gevenI ordered through the app, and the delivery arrived, but some items were missing. I called Uber, as is the policy, who refunded me £3 for a £6 burger because it was part of a meal. I complained to McD's HQ and got a voucher. I ordered again the very next day, using my voucher, and the delivery arrived, but some items were missing again, I called Uber, and they refunded me £2.58 for £5.50 burger cos it was part of a meal, I called the store, who advised calling Uber, who in turn said this is the value McD's set out to refund, got another voucher. I ordered again using my new voucher; the delivery arrived, but the items were missing. I did not call Uber and instead complained to HQ about how bad this place is. This is a shocking service, and McD's and Uber have some sort of scam going on here, because the refunds, not only my own but also those you see across the internet, are just not in line with what the food actually costs. McD's give you some **** about how you need to call Uber, but in truth, Uber has only delivered what they handed in the store, and many folks are left in some little void where they have missing items and, on top of this, are shortchanged on refunds. I advise anyone who has missing items from their delivery to first contact Uber, then get what you can on the refund, then contact McD's HQ, complain, get the balance back, and demand a refund on your delivery, too; you can also contact the store and HQ, and I advised you contact them every single time you have a problem with your delivery or Drive-Thru order because they only way they are going to solve this issue is by having to deal with numerous complaints, having to dish out free vouchers left right and centre and people calling the store. This is just laziness, incompetence, and a complete lack of care. It is outrageous that this happens to so many people, not just in this store but across the country. The most concerning aspect of this is the little void between McD's and Uber, where the customer is left out of pocket and has to spend time arguing about the fact they have been shafted.
Forgot my chips, triple cheeseburger and the food was so cold. Cold chips aren’t nice at all especially when we are paying full price. This place needs new management asap cos the staff are always forgetting things. You work at McDonald’s it’s really not hard! The job is so easy so to keep making that many mistakes is ridiculous
This is our local and our sons love a McDonalds. I presumed this huge, worldwide chain of fast food restaurants would have amazing processes in place to ensure quick service and no mistakes. Not so, not here anyway. Polegate McDonalds is beyond belief when it comes to mistakes (1 in 2 of orders on average has something missing or the wrong thing in it, and I am not exaggerating. And we only go about once a month). Last month I ordered on the app and sat at the click and serve for 15 minutes. I ended up going in to check the order was received (it was, they were just behind. Queues out the door, mayhem). Today we ordered lunch on the app and tried the drive through instead. There was barely a queue, it really didn 't look at all busy so we thought we were safe we had agreed that if it looked like madness, we just wouldn 't bother. So I order on the app in the drive through queue. Arrive at collection window, we 're handed 2 McFlurries. Sit there for an eternity, then the person says 'really sorry, the rest isn 't ready, you 'll need to park up ' expecting us to take the two ice creams with us. Which would have been liquid by the time the rest of the order arrived, hence we handed them back and asked for fresh ones. We worked out there were 8 cars waiting for orders, including us, at 1.10 on a Sunday. It was total chaos plus, of course, by the time we worked out how many were waiting, the queues were out of the car park and down the road. Get the order home: the 2 dips ordered are missing. Of course they are, when will we learn to check what they give us? The previous month we got a random cheeseburger instead of what we ordered. Customised McFlurry? It 's pot luck as to whether you can get one at all and, if you can, order a topping and you may get a different topping, and order no topping and you may get a topping. If you decide to go here, make sure you have plenty of time, don 't expect your food to be hot ever, and check you receive what you ordered. I honestly have never known a McDonalds as chaotic this one. If our sons weren 't so partial, I would literally never go back. They are a total shambles. They need to close and have a full on training week or something it 's like nobody has a clue there.
An absolute shambles, ordered from Uber eats at 10.10am. well within the time for breakfast, kept waiting, then after about half an hour got a text from our Uber delivery driver, saying he doesn’t know what the hold is as they are serving people inside and from the drive through. At 11.30am, 1 hour and 20minutes after we placed our order McDonald’s cancelled our order. This is not the first time we have had problems with this branch, consistently items missing from your order, this is obviously a very poor managed and staffed branch. I just won’t bother again!!
Right, so we went to get a mcdonalds breakfast around 10:40AM? Our order was pre-ordered, so we should of been able to pick it up via the app and just go! But nope! They said they were finishing a cheesy-bacon flatbread for us.. and they just like 20 minutes past 11am, guess what happens?? THEY REFUSE TO GIVE US THE BREAKFAST.. This place has screwed us up in the past with wrong orders and stuff, and I felt like making other people aware. Don’t go here, it won’t be a fun trip most of the time…
